Exceptional grouping of (4) side chairs from the Bauhaus period, featuring cantilever-style bases of tubular chromed steel supporting seats and backrests of molded beechwood, finished in off-white lacquer. Apparently unsigned, in the manner of Mart Stam for Thonet - possibly produced by Ahrend, c. 1930's. Dimensions: H 31.5" x W 19" x W 21" x SH 17" Condition: Nicks, scuffs and minor losses to lacquer; pitting to chrome throughout. Natural surface wear consistent with age. F152
