Description
Michel Etienne Turgot Plan de Paris etched and engraved index map and plan of Paris on 20 sheets by Claude Lucas after Louis Bretez, some with the Chalcographie du Louvre blindstamp. First published 1739, this a 19th century issue. Wide margins. Original spine, from the Ecole d'Application de L'Artillerie et du Genie; with their shelf number. Dimensions: (As bound) H 28" x W 21"; (Full sheets) H 27.5" x W 39" Condition: Appears to be original spine. Boards with damage, loss to one corner. Some rubbing to spine. Internally good, bright condition; a few light scattered spots of foxing in margins, some hand-written numbers in lower right corners of some plates. Blank fly leaves with some tears.
